Sarah Mortimer is a professional ballerina and RAD qualified dance teacher. She studied various genres including ISTD Tap, Modern, Jazz, Cecchetti and Ballet, all to an advanced level. After attending as an associate of Urdang and London Senior Ballet Sarah auditioned for vocational schools at the age of fifteen. After many successful auditions Sarah decided to continue her dance training specifically in ballet and gained the opportunity to graduate with a BA Hons Degree in Classical Ballet and Dance Performance. Sarah toured Scotland performing roles such as The Snow Queen in The Nutcracker and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet as well as having the opportunity to tour China for two months, performing lead roles in The Opera House of National Grand Theatre, Beijing, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai and many more wonderful venues.

Sarah gained distinction in all her major RAD examinations and took her Solo Seal. Sarah was the winner of the 2009 Adeline Calder Scholarship, in 2010 she was the only British finalist in the Genée International Ballet Competition held in Cape Town, South Africa, and was chosen to be the poster girl for the Genée the following year held in New Zealand. She has also been on various TV shows including BBC Alba Dannsa as a featured dancer and BBC’s Inside Out. On graduation in 2011 Sarah auditioned for many ballet companies across Europe. After much deliberation Sarah chose to stay in the UK and in June 2016 had her last performance with Ballet Theatre UK.
